Martin is a PhD student specializing in political theory. His main areas of interest include critical social theory, social epistemology, and political psychology.  He is particularly interested in how the daily practices of social and political institutions constitute or shape the identities and dispositions of their participants, and how those identities and dispositions affect political judgment.

Prior to OSU, Martin served in the U.S. Navy for nine years. He received a BA in political science and philosophy from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, a MA in philosophy from Miami University of Ohio, and a MA in social sciences from the University of Chicago. He also holds a graduate certificate in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality studies from Miami University.
