Jeffrey BudziakMy name is Jeffrey Budziak and I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Political Science at The Ohio State University (expected completion date Spring 2011).
My primary research focuses on judicial decision-making in the U.S. Courts of Appeals. I also have research interests in Supreme Court decision-making, selection methods of state judges, electoral mechanisms and political methodology. My dissertation, Fungible Justice: The Consequences of Judicial Circulation in the U.S. Courts of Appeals, examines how the use of visiting judges restructures behavioral expectations for judges in the courts of appeals. I have taught courses in American Government, Judicial Politics and the American Judicial Process.
