Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science
Professor Youatt’s research and teaching interests are in international environmental politics and environmental political theory. His dissertation, entitled Nonhuman Agency and the Politics of Global Biodiversity, explores how a critical account of nonhuman agency challenges anthropocentric conceptions of international politics. An article on Foucaultian biopower and the global biodiversity census is forthcoming in Environmental Values.
Current courses include International Environmental Politics, and Ethics in IR.
